Offspring is a social saving tool. It helps family and friends save together for important occasions. Offspring have setup an easy and secure way to send cash gifts. We designed, developed and launched a dashboard solution for Offspring to track customer savings and journeys through the Offspring website.
To develop a new reporting solution for Offspring to be able to see their data for customer savings as well as their customers’ website activity to inform product enhancements and management decision-making.
Offspring wanted a solution with a direct connection into their Big Query database solution, something that would be near to live with automated updates in a fast and simple dashboard.

We used our DATA³ Discovery Process to capture all business requirements in a series of workshops with key stakeholders, and reviewed all data and relevant business information.
We setup a system to convert business logic into data logic. In this stage we also discovered which BI tool would be the best for this solution.
We used our DATA³ Design Process to design a reporting wireframe based on brand guidelines and ensuring the solution between PowerBI and Google Big Query direct query was robust enough to allow for a consistent near live automated refresh.
We used our DATA³ Build Process to build, test and launch the new Offspring reporting solution.
We created SQL views in Google Big Query to avoid any transformations in PowerBI which cannot be achieved with a direct query connection.
We created a simple and clean reporting solution that uses automated direct query data pulls to make sure Offspring’s data is always up to date.
The DATA³ team helped create an analytics dashboard that helps us make product development decisions. Their approach is collaborative and while they created the dashboard to spec, they also suggested ways to present data to best match our business needs.
